Seiyo No Shorin-Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai is an international martial arts association based upon the concepts of ancient traditional Okinawan karate modified with modern concepts developed by its founder and 1st generation grandmaster W. Dan Hausel. Traditions are considered utmost importance in our art, along with developing powerful ki ‘energy’, kata comprehension and performance, and bunkai (applications) for all techniques in all kata.
Our association accepts applications from Shorin-Ryu Karate & Kobudo martial artists, schools and associations as well as from Shorin-Ryu derivative martial arts (i.e., Shotokan, Wado, Kyokushinkai, etc). Groups or individuals interested can apply for membership or associate membership to Soke Hausel. Do so by retuning a completed application (pdf) with fees.
Seiyo No Shorin-Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai is a traditional (non-sport) martial art that is designed for self-improvement, self-esteem and the art is designed to teach pragmatic self-defense, one-punch knockouts, and realistic kata
